Expert assistance from Egypt is finally on its way to conserve an Egyptian mummy dating back to 2,500 BC at a museum in Hyderabad. The mummy, believed to be of Nasihu, daughter of sixth Pharaoh of Egypt, is on display at the Andhra Pradesh State Archaeological Museum since 1930 but is now decaying. India’s largest private sector steel maker, Tata Steel, will invest Rs.2,000 crore on environment conservation at its Rs.19,500-crore plant coming up in Chhattisgarh’s militancy-hit Bastar district. “Tata Steel officials made a presentation at a public hearing on Monday for environmental clearance and committed to invest Rs.2,000 crore on environment conservation,” Bastar district collector M.S. Albania is Mother Teresa’s country of origin. Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha has asked New Delhi for her remains to be returned to Albania by the 100th anniversary of her birth in August 2010.
